BIOGRAPHY

Art has always been a part of my life. From the time I was in elementary school, I was always doodling on my school notes and couldn't wait for my next art class. Throughout my school experience, I have had many art pieces hung on walls and exhibited in cases.

When I was in fifth grade, as the internet was becoming more popular, I decided to put my collection of figurines online. My older brother got me set up with Adobe Photoshop 3.0 and Microsoft Frontpage. I constantly played with the programs after school and enjoyed updating my website whenever I purchased new figures. Over the next few years, I found a deep passion in creating layouts and manipulating graphics in Photoshop.

By the time I got to high school, I knew what I wanted to do: I wanted to be an artist. My small collection website had been transformed into a hobby website containing my own wallpapers, Photoshop brushes, tutorials, and even fonts. I took as many art classes as I possibly could in high school and kept up as new Adobe versions were released.

I attended Bridgewater State College in Massachusetts and earned my Bachelor's degree in Art with a Graphic Design concentration. College was a great place to gain inspiration, expand on my talents and meet new people. After college, I got my first job as a graphic designer at FastSigns. There, I created signs and banners, and recreating logos into vector became a day to day job. It also gave me valuable experience understanding the way clients think. Just after a year at FastSigns, I found a new job at TicketNetwork. My main job there was creating website logos/graphics for the brokers and venue maps. A few months after I started, they got a new marketing director who put me (instead of the creative director) as the graphic designer in charge of the company redesign and the annual ticket conference Ticket Summit. I designed many printed items such as name badges, brochures, conference guides, postcards, thank you cards, informational pamphlets, and signage.

Art has been, and always will continue to be a part of me and of my life. I now wish to further my career by working in a design agency, creating various printed media, branding, and website graphics for clients, working one on one with them. Eventually, I would like to even try packaging design. Someday I hope to have the chance to open my own design studio.

I am looking to work at a great design agency in Connecticut. Please send me an email if you'd like to set up an interview.
